Our History
Creeks Bend formally Elaroo Adventure Park has been part of our family for many generations and is the last parcel of land retained by our family from the original property spanning from St Helens to Bloomsbury. The most notable historical point for this property is supplying horses to the light horse during past conflicts. Needless to say we have a deep connection with the property and now present it to you as a beautiful natural bushland venue that has been preserved and tamed to create an enchanting wedding venue. Steeped in rich natural beauty, our venue provides a unique and unforgettable experience for your special day.
Our Location
Nestled in the rural setting of Elaroo, Creeks Bend is a 700 acre cattle property located 45 mins North of Mackay. Our venue offers ample parking for you and your guests. With easy access to the Bruce highway, Proserpine and Whitsunday Airport. We recommend you camp and enjoy the full Creeks Bend bush wedding experience, However we have run bus services from the farm in the past.
From our beautiful creek side gardens to our rolling flats, our bush wedding venue offers a range of amenities to make your wedding day unforgettable. Let us help you take care of everything so you can focus on making memories.
Our Amenities
Currently the venue is evolving from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. We have very basic facilities at present with 2 x Double flushing toilets with vanity in the function grounds. Wedding arbor in separate ceremony area, level marquee pad surrounded by grass and bushland. Beautiful creek surrounding the entire function and ceremony area. Future shower block is planned for camping areas. Wooden bridge between ceremony area and function grounds currently under construction. We are planning better power infrastructure for the function ground so we can get away from generators however this is currently the only power you will get onsite. We are an off grid wedding venue so please factor this in when planning to camp.

Creeks Bend is a natural garden venue. Bring tables, chairs, food and you can have a low fuss low budget wedding outdoors.
However the options are endless. Book catering with Golden Roast Mackay, hire a Marquee, Bell tents or even a Tee-Pee for a beautiful wedding with all the bells and whistles. Engauge a wedding planner to look after it all and add a photographer. Below are some ideas but you are more than welcome to shape your day how you want it. Lets have a chat.
