Our History
Creeks Bend formally Elaroo Adventure Park has been part of our family for many generations and is the last parcel of land retained by our family from the original property spanning from St Helens to Bloomsbury. The most notable historical point for this property is supplying horses to the light horse during past conflicts. Needless to say we have a deep connection with the property and now present it to you as a beautiful natural bushland venue that has been preserved and tamed to create an enchanting wedding venue. Steeped in rich natural beauty, our venue provides a unique and unforgettable experience for your special day.
Our Location
Nestled in the rural setting of Elaroo, Creeks Bend is a 700-acre cattle property located 45 minutes north of Mackay. Our venue offers ample parking for you and your guests, with easy access to the Bruce Highway, Proserpine, and Whitsunday Airport. We recommend camping onsite to enjoy the full Creeks Bend bush wedding experience, but we’ve also run bus services from the farm in the past.
From our beautiful creekside gardens to our rolling flats, our bush wedding venue provides a range of amenities to make your day unforgettable. Let us help take care of everything so you can focus on making memories.
Our Amenities
Currently, Creeks Bend is evolving from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. At present, our facilities are simple: we offer 2 double-flushing toilets with vanities in the function grounds, a wedding arbor in a separate ceremony area, and a level marquee pad surrounded by grass and bushland. A beautiful creek winds around the entire function and ceremony area, adding to the natural charm.
A future shower block is planned for the camping areas, and a wooden bridge connecting the ceremony and function grounds is currently under construction. We’re also working towards better power infrastructure, but for now, generator power is the only electricity available onsite. As an off-grid wedding venue, please factor this into your plans, especially if you’re considering camping.

Celebrate Under the Stars
Transform our versatile outdoor garden into your dream reception venue, where country elegance meets relaxed celebration. Comfortably host up to 100 guests (expandable to 200), and dance under starlit skies with the peaceful sounds of rural Queensland all around you. Our off-grid venue includes generator-powered essentials and basic amenities for an authentic, memorable country experience. With exclusive weekend hire, your celebration gets the entire property’s attention—no rushing, no crowds, just genuine country hospitality. We partner with trusted local vendors such as Mackay Rustic Hire & Events (furniture & décor), DJ Lambstar (music), and more to help you create your perfect country wedding.
Extend the Magic—Camp Under Country Stars
Why end the celebration at midnight? Our unique camping experience lets your wedding party extend the joy from Friday through Sunday at 5pm. Pitch your tents across the property, enjoy the brilliant country night sky, and wake up to birdsong and fresh air. Camping facilities include two double-flushing toilets with vanities, with luxury portable bathrooms available through Ensuite Onsite Mackay. For extra comfort, glamping options are available with The Best Intentions Tent Co. Camping is included in your weekend venue hire—because the best weddings deserve more than just one night.

$4400 + $53.80 per guest
(Includes Igloo on completion) Our all-inclusive wedding package is designed for couples seeking a stress-free, country celebration where every detail is taken care of.

- Marquee or tent hire (somewhere to hide if the weather turns)
